These terms apply to institutional purchases only. They do not govern individual learner subscriptions to PsychApply Premium.
By purchasing an institutional licence, the purchaser confirms that they are authorised to purchase the licence on behalf of the named institution.
An institutional licence provides the purchasing institution with Premium access to PsychApply Academy & Global for the number of named learner places included within the selected package.
The licence is provided for a period of 12 months from the date on which the institutional subscription begins.
The available standard packages are:
Institutions requiring more than 150 learner places may contact PsychApply to discuss a bespoke arrangement.
The price and number of places applicable to the institution will be clearly displayed before purchase.
A learner place provides one named learner with institutional Premium access while that learner remains allocated to an active institutional licence.
Learner places may be reassigned during the licence period. For example, where a learner leaves a course or no longer requires institutional access, the coordinator may remove that learner and allocate the available place to another learner.
Removing institutional access does not itself delete the learner's PsychApply account or their personal learning records.
A learner may also have an individual PsychApply Premium entitlement independently of the institution. Ending institutional access does not cancel an independently purchased individual subscription.
The Purchaser is the person arranging or authorising the institutional purchase.
The Coordinator is the person nominated to administer the institution's learner places and enrolment arrangements.
The purchaser and coordinator may be the same person.
The institution is responsible for ensuring that the contact details supplied for these roles remain accurate and that anyone appointed as coordinator is appropriately authorised by the institution.
The coordinator can manage institutional learner access but is not thereby given access to learners' private learning activity or personal learning records.
The annual licence fee is displayed before purchase and is payable through PsychApply's secure payment provider.
The institutional licence normally becomes active following confirmation of successful payment.
The institution will receive confirmation of its licence and information enabling learners to enrol.
Unless cancelled, the institutional licence is set to renew automatically every 12 months using the payment method associated with the subscription.
Before renewal, PsychApply will send a reminder to the purchaser's registered email address stating the renewal date and applicable annual licence fee.
The institution may cancel automatic renewal before the renewal payment is taken.
Cancellation prevents the next annual renewal. It does not normally terminate access during a licence period that has already been paid for.
The purchaser may request cancellation of automatic renewal at any point before the next renewal payment is taken using the cancellation method made available by PsychApply or by contacting psychapply6@gmail.com.
Following cancellation, the licence will ordinarily remain active until the end of the current paid 12-month licence period.
No further annual payment will then be taken.
Learner institutional Premium access will end when the paid licence period expires, unless the institution renews or another valid Premium entitlement applies to the learner.
If an automatic renewal payment fails, PsychApply will allow a 7-day grace period while payment is retried or the payment issue is resolved.
Institutional Premium access will normally remain available to existing enrolled learners during this grace period.
If payment is successfully completed during the grace period, the licence will continue without interruption.
If payment remains unsuccessful when the grace period expires, the institutional licence may expire and institutional Premium access may be removed.
Institutional licences provide access for a 12-month period and are priced on that basis.
Once an institutional licence has commenced and access has been made available, licence fees are normally non-refundable merely because the institution subsequently chooses not to use some or all of its available learner places or wishes to stop using the service before the end of the licence period.
This does not affect any rights or remedies which cannot lawfully be excluded.
If an institution purchases an incorrect package or believes a payment has been made in error, it should contact PsychApply promptly so that the circumstances can be reviewed.
Where PsychApply is unable to provide the contracted service for a material period, PsychApply may, as appropriate to the circumstances, provide an extension, service credit, partial refund or other reasonable remedy.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
The institutional licence is for the purchasing institution and its authorised learners.
Enrolment links or codes must not knowingly be distributed outside the purchasing institution for the purpose of providing access to people who are not eligible to use its purchased learner places.
The institution must not sell, sublicense or commercially redistribute access to PsychApply without written agreement.
Reasonable classroom use by teachers, lecturers, cover staff and authorised learners within the institution is permitted in accordance with the licence and PsychApply Terms of Use.
PsychApply is a digital learning platform and may be updated, improved or modified over time.
PsychApply may introduce new content, learning activities and functionality during the licence period.
Reasonable maintenance, technical interruption or modification of individual features does not automatically constitute termination of the institutional licence.
PsychApply will aim to maintain reasonable availability of the service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability at all times.
Nothing in this section removes any legal rights or remedies the institution may have where PsychApply materially fails to provide the contracted service.
PsychApply is designed to support teaching, learning, revision and independent study.
It is a supplementary educational resource and does not guarantee particular examination grades, assessment outcomes, university admission or other educational outcomes.
Where automated or AI-assisted functionality is provided, it is intended to support learning and should be used alongside appropriate educational judgement and authoritative course and examination-board materials.
Learners use their own PsychApply accounts when accessing institutional Premium.
The institution purchases the Premium entitlement associated with the allocated learner place; it does not acquire ownership of the learner's personal PsychApply account.
When institutional access ends, the learner's account and applicable personal learning records are not automatically deleted solely because the institutional licence has ended.
Any independent Premium entitlement held by that learner is considered separately.
Personal information is handled in accordance with the PsychApply Privacy Notice.
Institutional coordinators are provided only with information reasonably required to administer institutional learner places.
Purchasing an institutional licence does not give an institution unrestricted access to a learner's private learning activity, interactions or personal records.
PsychApply and its original content, software, design, learning materials and associated intellectual property remain the property of their respective owner or licensors.
An institutional licence grants permission to use PsychApply during the licence period. It does not transfer ownership of PsychApply content or intellectual property to the institution or its learners.
Content must not be systematically copied, reproduced, republished, sold or used to create a competing commercial resource except where expressly permitted by law or agreed in writing.
PsychApply may suspend or restrict access where there is reasonable evidence of serious misuse, attempted unauthorised access, fraudulent activity, deliberate circumvention of licence limits or material breach of these terms.
Where reasonably practicable, PsychApply will contact the institution and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue before terminating an institutional licence for breach.
The terms applying to an institutional purchase are those presented when the institution enters into the agreement.
PsychApply may update these terms for future purchases.
Where a material change is proposed that would affect an existing institutional licence or its renewal, the institution will be informed where appropriate before that change takes effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction in relation to disputes arising from these terms, subject to any mandatory legal rights or jurisdictional rules that apply.
